Morp: redefining the traditional Prom

Students enjoy themselves by dancing to the latest hits and eating the food provided by the Associated Student Body (ASB).

"It was ASB’s media commission that initiated and developed the idea of having a photographer/instant Photo Booth, for the overall goal of giving something for students and attendees to remember," said Bradly Ho, the designated photographer for the night.

Students take a break from dancing and socializing to pose and take pictures in front of an Eiffel Tower backdrop.

Taking a break from dancing, students chat and laugh with each other on the dance floor, enjoying one another's company.

I loved morp. I love what it stands for and how inclusive the environment is. The songs were great and I think ASB did an overall great job organizing the event."

Members of ASB talk with each other to ensure that all the event's festivities are going according to plan.

Because its fundamentals are rooted in inclusivity in a way that is enjoyable for all, morp provides an excellent outlet for students to meet new people and make new friends.

Students ensure that everyone is included in their dance circle.

One key feature distinguishing morp from prom is that it is meant to be a quieter, more inclusive environment. This year, a table was set up in the corner with art materials where students could take a break from the music and dancing and draw in peace.
