Author: Juan Carlos

In literature, the road symbolize the human drive to keep moving and keep surviving, no matter the circumstances. It represent the issue of decision-making.

For some people The Road evokes creating a bond, road trips, freedom or a way to escape. For others The Road evokes road movies, journeys, relaxing at the back of the car or traffic jam.

Extract 2 : discussion between Lennie and Curley's Wife

What I appreciate /what I learnt

In this extract we learn Lennie's and Curley'wife dreams. We discover Curley's wife regrets and we attend the cilmax of the tragedy - the murder of Curleys wife by Lennie.I appreciate the fact that we learn more about the both but the death of Curley's Wife is really sad and chocking because she did not deserve it.

Migrant Mother by Dorothea Lange

I choose this picture because it was taken during the great depression. During these incertain times people were in an extreme poverty. The look of the women shows to us how much she is lost. She look like keeping hope for a better future because her family needs her to be strong. She looks like George - she might leave people who count on her to have an easier life but she won't because people that she loves are too important for her. It is a beautyful example of family like George and Lennie(even if they are not blood brothers).
