TRADITIONAL GAMES IN OUR PROVINCE AND COUNTRY

The aim is to get the metallic balls next to the small wooden one, called boliche. The team having more metallic balls next to the boliche wins.

PETANCA

A CHIP OR A COIN IS THROWN AND DEPENDING ON THE PLACE IT FALLS YOU GET A DIFFERENT SCORE. THE ONE THAT HITS THE FROG´S MOUTH WINS.

LA RANA

BOLO LEONÉS

Among other differences, it is played with balls that have a semicircle shape.

Each player launches a small object (normally a small stone) inside one of the squares on the hopscotch grid, then hops from square to square using only one leg. Pick the small objet up and hop back again to the start.

LA RAYUELA

Two teams compete to pick the handkerchief . Number the players, then they must race and grab the handkerchief and tet back to their places without being tagged.

EL PAÑUELO

Although we may practise it as a game, this type of wrestling is a very important traditional sport in Leon. It is a variant of Greco-Roman wrestling.
