She was born the 20th of september of 1910 in Kansas city, Misuri, and died the 10th of november of 2008. She was an afroamerican mathematic that worked for NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) and for NASA, but before that she worked as a mathematic teacher for more time than she thought.She specialized for the rest of his career in computing and FORTRAN programming.In his last decade at NASA he worked extensively with Katherine Johnson and Mary Jackson, who worked in his African-American calculator group before transferring to other areas, to work on the equations for launching astronaut John Glenn into orbit.
