Mary Wollstonecraft

In his work Vindication of the Rights of Women (1792), he argues that women are not by nature inferior to men, but seem to be because they do not receive the same education, and that men and women should be treated as rational beings. Imagine, also, a social order based on reason. With this work, she established the foundations of liberal feminism and made her one of the most popular women in Europe at the time.

Mary Wollstonecraft (27th April 1759 - 10th September 1797) was an English writer and philosopher. Considered a prominent figure in the modern world. He wrote novels, short stories, essays, treatises, a travel story and a book of children's literature. As a woman of the eighteenth century, she was able to establish herself as a professional and independent writer in London, something unusual for the time.

"If the woman is not prepared, through education, to become the man's companion, it will be she who will stop the progress of knowledge and virtue."

10th September 1797, Wollstonecraft died in childbirth, after giving birth to a girl who over the years would become Mary W. Shelley, the author of the famous novel Frankenstein or the modern Prometheus.
