Society Toolbox
Risk assessments are essentail to every event you run and as an SU we need to be sure you and your participants are safe. All your events will need to be risk assessed and we provide a template to help you with this process. The risk assessment form can be found on the Society Toolbox. Please complete the form in order to provide a risk assessment for your upcoming event. Your event can NOT be confirmed unless the risk assessment is completed and approved. Please note we require at least 10 working days notice for all risk assessments. Forms submitted fewer than 10 working days in advance unfortunately cannot be considered.

What can I do?
Why is it important?
Equality, Equity, Diversity and Inlcusion(EEDI)
We are aware many societies choose to host private group chats via platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp.We understand these are great for contacting your members. However, please make sure any new members who join your society are invited to these. You can do this by messaging your members through you webpage once a month and inviting them with a link/QR Code. Also make sure you have multiple admins for your groups and consider how you will hand this chat over between committes at the end of the year.

GIAG is great chance for your society to get and recruit more members.
- Societies who run a GIAG are more likely to recruit more members and have better success in their years activities than those who don't.
- Joining up with LBSU GIAG is great way to get additional exposure of all the great work your society does
- Running a GIAG gets to showcase your society and allow people to see
- Hosting a GIAG can help recruit new members and have people attending your soceity that wouldn't normally
- It is great way to start the term
We'll then be in touch with any details we need.
