Short history from 1927 - 1929
2.7.1927 - The whole Czech Republic celebrated 10th anniversary of The battle of Zborov, people who attended the celebration showed that they understand the meaning of The battle of Zborov - For the next few years they celebrated it by hanging national flags on the buildings in the area and lectures presented in the places of military garrisons 28.10.1928 - 10th anniversary of the independence of Czech Republic - inhabitants of Rožňava, Betliar and Dobšiná participated in the celebration the most 20.10.1929 - There was unveiled monument of Július Botto in Revúca which is still there in present

16.1.1945- the army occupied civilian dwellings for military purposes
15.1.1945 -people were hiding in cellars and more and more troops were coming from Plešivec
14.1.1945 -the first 4-cannon shots on Štítnik's fields
25.10.1944 -German attack on Polhora
-Street fights that lasted for 45 minutes
19.10.1944- The German got as far as Revúca and started firing from the forest
18.10.1944 -the Germans launched an attack from Jelšava to the Slovak border
1.3.1943- The Slovak Rebublic suffered a significant loss of its territory
Years 1943-1945
- at the beggining of the year, there was a big panic among the people with hungarian nationality because they were resettled in Hungary
- every citizen had to turn off all power so everything that was destroyed could be fixed as quickly as possible
- the survivors returned from the concentration camp
- some citizens were paid war damages by the state
- Slovakia had destroyed bringes and more than a half of Slovak industry was in ruins
