A difference between English and other languages like romance languages such as Spanish and Portuguese is that the subjects don`t have specific genders which means that when you`re talking about objects and or animals we use "the" and "a/an" regardless of what letter they end on since there aplicable to every gender.

In English adjectives usually come before the nouns, as in "blue sky" , as oppose to Spanish where its most commongly the other way around with the adjectives after the nouns as in "cielo azul"

The days of the week, months and language names are written in uppercase. The exclamation marks and interrogations marks go at the end of each sentece. when using quotation marks the puntuation marks stay inside, unlike in Spanish.

Use of Plurals

In english only the noun is used in plural when talking about a thing or person in plural, as in "the red cars" as opposed to Spanish where all words are plural, as in "los carros rojos".
