BLANKA VLAŠIĆ is a Croatian former track and field athlete who specialized in the high jump. She comes from Split. She is a two-time world champion and double Olympic medallist who ranks as the joint second highest female jumper of all time with her personal best of 2.08 m. On 19 February 2021, she announced her retirement

Kolinda Grabar KitarovicCroatia's first female president's inclusion in this list has less to do with her political achievements, and rather more with her enthusiastic exploits following the Croatian team at the 2018 World Cup. Dressed in the famous read and while chequered national shirt, Grabar Kitarovic drew huge international attention for her emotional support of the team. The most famous images were at the final trophy presentation in the pouring rain, where she stood soaking next to President Putin, the only person dry under an umbrella. Google searches for 'Croatian president' went through the roof. Currently, she's an International Olympic Committee member.

Zlata Bartl (1920 – 2008) was a Bosnian Croat scientist and is the creator of Vegeta. She studied natural sciences, engineering, medicine and health, biotechnical sciences, social sciences, and humanities. In 1955, she began working as a chemical technician in Podravka, Croatia. In 1959 she created Vegeta, which would become one of the most popular Croatian brands. She has since then received numerous recognitions and awards. There is a scholarship foundation set up in her name for graduate students studying science in Zagreb.

Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić (1874 –1938) was a Croatian writer. She has been praised as the best Croatian writer for children. Her book Croatian Tales of Long Ago (Priče iz davnine), published in 1916, is among the most popular today in large part because of its adaptation into a computerized interactive fiction. In the book she created a series of new fairy-tales, using names and motifs from the Slavic mythology of Croats. It was this that earned her comparisons to Hans Christian Andersen and Tolkien.

Remarkable french women

Coco Chanel

George Sand

Michèle Mouton

Emilie du Châtelet

Gabrielle Émilie Le Tonnelier de Breteuil, Marquise du Châtelet (17 December 1706 – 10 September 1749) She was a French natural philosopher and mathematician from the early 1730s until her death due to complications during childbirth in 1749. Her most recognized achievement is her translation of and commentary on Isaac Newton's 1687 book containing basic laws of physics. The translation, published posthumously in 1756, is still considered the standard French translation. Her commentary includes a contribution to Newtonian mechanics—the postulate of an additional conservation law for total energy, of which kinetic energy of motion is one element. This led to her conceptualization of energy as such, and to derive its quantitative relationships to the mass and velocity of an object. Her philosophical magnum opus, Institutions de Physique, circulated widely, generated heated debates, and was republished and translated into several other languages within two years of its original publication.

Gabriel Chasnel alias Coco ChanelShe was born on August 19, 1883. She was a fashion designer, milliner and great French couturier who embodies Parisian elegance. Her message for women: don't dress up, don't do too much to be beautiful and elegant.

Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin de Francueil , alias George Sand (1 July 1804 – 8 June 1876) She was a French novelist, memoirist and journalist. One of the most popular writers in Europe in her lifetime, being more renowned than either Victor Hugo or Honoré de Balzac in England in the 1830s and 1840s. Sand is recognised as one of the most notable writers of the European Romantic era, with more than 50 volumes of various works to her credit, including tales, plays and political texts, alongside her 70 novels. Like her great-grandmother, Louise Dupin, whom she admired, George Sand stood up for women, advocated passion, castigated marriage and fought against the prejudices of a conservative society.

Despite being caught, tortured, and sentenced to death, she never revealed the names of the children or their hiding places. Escaping on the day of her scheduled execution, she survived the war and lived to be 98 years old. In 1965 she was honoured by the State of Israel as Righteous Among the Nations.
