Be yourself

For early careers programmes like graduate schemes or apprenticeships, Network Rail want to make it as straightforward as possible to apply. Network Rail are an inclusive employer of choice, a Disability Confident Leader employer and encourage applications from all.

Before you complete the tasks within your application, visit and re-visit Network Rail's website to familiarise yourself with the company and the team you're applying to join. You'll then have a much better understanding of company goals, purpose and values going into your application.

Before you submit your application, it's best to go back and check your answers! You may have left valuable things out or forgotten to mention something - it's always useful to double-check.

Trust your gut when it comes to tasks within your application. It'll be more effective to go with your initiative than to overthink. More often than not, your natural response is correct!

It can be daunting when preparing for the assessment centre, but you'll perform best if you're being yourself! Try to remain relaxed and show personality; this will come across as enthusiasm and go in your favour.
