Washington D.C. is the capital and there is a White Home it is the official residence of the president of the United States

The flag of the USA was adopted on June 14, 1777 and consisted of 13 stripes and 13 stars in honor of the 13 colonies. Today, there are 50 stars and 13 stripes on the American flag. The flag was designed in 1950 by high school student Robert Heft at the age of 17. The boy lived in Lancaster, Ohio and designed the flag for a school project. Its design was chosen by President Eisenhower and became the symbol of the United States of America.

The Star-Spangled Banner is the national anthem of the United Stated of America. Written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key who was an american poet.The hymn was adopted in 1931 when the United States had an official anthem.Conceived on the occasion of the USA victory in the battle of Baltimore.

Yellowstone was the first national park in the country and in the world. Most of the park is made up of plateaus or flat land.The Yellowstone River flows trough Yellowstone Lake, which is the largest mountain lake in North America. Forests cover much of land. There is many animals, including bisons,sheep,moose,bears,wolves and coyotes. In the park there are natural features that are heated by energy form inside Earth. In Yellowstone that energy is in the form of domeof magma that is below the surface. Visitors can see streams,waterfalls and hot pools as well as geysers. Glacier Bay National park is a United States National park located in Southern Alaska.There are no roads leading to the park: to reach it you can use ferries or small planes that leave from the small village of Gustavus. The glaciers from one of the most spectacular ice and iceberg in the world. Glacier Bay's most famous glacier. Wildlife in the park includes bears,deer,whales,goats,wolves and seabirds.Glecier Bay National park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, both for its highly spectacular landscapes and for preserving the very important habitats of grizzly bear,caribou and Dall's sheep.

New York has five boroughs: the Bronx,Queens,Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan.Manhattan is the most populated borough.It is a long island bounded by Hudson,East and Harlem rivers. Is divided in five districts: Lower Manhattan,the area where New York originated; Midtown Manhattan, where there the Empire State Bulding is located;Upper Manhattan where Columbia University is located; Harlem and Washington Heights.In Manhattan there is Wall Street where there is the New York Stock Exchange and the Federal Hall.Finally there is the Times Square area.

Los Angeles is located in California and is the largest of all American cities. The time zone of Los Angeles is 9 hours behind that of Rome. In Los Angeles there is Beverly Hills, the neighborhood frequented by many movie stars.The Walk of Fame is the mot famous stretch of Hollywood Boulevard where,on the sidewalks, there are the names of the actor. The Dolby Theater, which has the hosted the Oscar ceremony since 2001. You can see the writing "Hollywood" within protected area. Universal Studios is the most famous themed amusement park in the world. In Losa Angeles there is the LACMA,Los Angeles Country Museum of Art, it preserves Renaissance, Impressionist and Pop Art works. Santa Monica instead marks the beginning of Route 66. Californian beaches open all around the pier and continue all the way to Malibu.

On September 11, 2001 at 8:35 an hijacked passenger plane crashed into the north tower. Eighteen minutes later a second plane crashed into the south Tower, a third plane hit the Pentagon and fourth plane crashed in Pennsylvania. The Twin Towers were crolled. They were the tallest buildings in New York. 3.000 people died in New York. The President George Brush promised to find the leaders of the terrorist group behind the attacks and bring them to justice. Today the National September 11 Memorial and Museum stand where there were the Twin Towers called also Ground Zero, it's a peaceful place for survivers, victimis' families and visitors to remeamber the tragedy. New York rebuilding the World Trade Centre called the Survival Tree.
