MATERIAL

  • Sketchbook
  • Pencils
  • Eraser
  • Large format rigid white cardboard
  • Recycled cardboard, like an old box
  • Liquid white glue
  • Acrylic paint (yellow, blue, red, white and black) or Semi-liquid gouache (yellow, blue, red, white and black) + corn starch (half as much corn starch as you have semi-liquid gouache)
  • Containers with covers to prepare the thickened gouache recipe
  • Square brushes
  • Painting knives (spatulas) or other tools or recycled materials that can be used to spread paint
  • Containers for applying paint
  • Matte water-based polymer varnish
  • Black and white photocopies (tabloid format) of images from Google Maps showing aerial views of an area near your school that features a body of water
  • Plastic tablecloth to protect the tables
  • Sink with running water
