Russia part of Industrialization

Russia’s defeat in the Crimean war (1853-1856) made the tsar Alexander II realize that he needed to modernize Russia to regain power. His reforms were aimed to extend popular education, to modernize the military by abolishing corporal punishments and improving the district system, and achieve the emancipation of the serfs. He also initiated several major railway construction projects which would allow transportation to distant parts of the empire, facilitating the construction and operation of factories, mines, and other projects.

Before

Russian Inventions

In 1847, the russian scientist and surgeon Nikolay Ivanovich Pirogov was the first to use anesthesia in a surgical operation. He developed a theory about the action and uses of anesthesia. Before testing it on patients he applied it to himself.

Modern field surgery

In 1887, the russian botanist Dmitri Ivanovsky was assigned to investigate a popular tobacco disease. He discovered that the disease was caused by an extremely minuscle infection agent which in 1898, the microbiologist Martinus Beijerinck by seeing Ivanosky’s experiments, called it virus.

The co-founder of the virus:

The peroidic table that classifies the chemical elements, was invented by the chemist and scientist Ivanovich Mendeleev in 1869. It allows scientists to predict the appearance and properties of matter on Earth and in the Universe. It also enabled them to make calculations which can be very helpful for industrial processes.

Conclusion: How Russians growth, research and advances in industrialization evolved through the 19th century?

General Conclusion

Russia, has make its way throught the finals of the industrial revolution with no problem, upgrading and evolving its own ways of economy, with an exponential growth suffient enought to positionate Russia into one of the bigest potencials (armed and economically talking) in the world. Also, the good reign that the tsars have had over its kingdom, have contributed to carry out its kingdom and a great example of it, are the great reforms, who suposed the big change from farm based, to trains, steel, etc. Industrialization, also has made the world a better place, only talking in economy terms Russia can be greatfull of it: like by its developments in all the subjets, like in science or medicine, two well explored areas for the country.
