Villacarrillo is a town located in the regions of La Loma and Las Cuatro Villas in the northeastern part of the province of Jaén, which has been a strategic place since Roman times until today. Its enclave on the hill, surrounded by an authentic "sea of olive trees" and flanked by the Sierra de Las Villas, part of the Natural Park of Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas, make this town an international reference, since Villacarrillo is currently the world's largest producer of Olive Oil, as well as being the gateway to the second largest Natural Park in Europe. On its way, the Guadalquivir River and its tributaries: the Aguascebas grande and chico, irrigate all its territory together with the Guadalimar River, which is the natural border with the Comarca del Condado.

Villacarrillo es una ciudad situada en las Comarcas de La Loma y de las Cuatro Villas en la parte nororiental de la provincia de Jaén, lo que supone un lugar estratégico desde la época romana hasta hoy. Su enclave en la loma, rodeada de un auténtico «mar de olivos» y flanqueada por la Sierra de Las Villas, parte del Parque Natural de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas, hacen que esta ciudad sea un referente internacional, ya que Villacarrillo es actualmente el mayor productor mundial de Aceite de Oliva, además de ser la puerta de entrada al segundo Parque Natural más grande de Europa. A su paso, el río Guadalquivir y sus afluentes: el Aguascebas grande y chico, riega todo su territorio junto con el río Guadalimar que supone la frontera natural con la Comarca del Condado.
