Charles Dickens was an English writer. He created some of the best known fictional characters in the world and is considered by many to be the greatest novelist of the Victorian era.

A Christmas Carol is a Christmas book. The main character is Ebenezer Scrooge, who is a selfish old man who doesn't like Christmas. He had a business, and there, a partner named Jacob Marley, who had died 7 years ago. During three visits of the Christmas spirits from the past, present and future, he became to be a kinder, gentler man. At the end, he spend the Christmas with all the people he could invite.
