Machines are devices made of different materials. They help us complete tasks with less effort and make our live easier.Machines have been modernised over time.

Machines need energy to work.Depending on the type of energy they use, they can be:

MANUAL MACHINESThey use our energy to work.

ELECTRICAL MACHINESThey use electrical energy.

We can classify machines into two groups, based on the number of parts they have.One group is SIMPLE MACHINES, which have one or very few parts.

LEVERS

Levers are simple machines. A lever transmits and increases the force we apply when we use it.

STRUCTURES

A structure is a group of elements that can support weight or load and protect objects and machines.

The material and the shape of the components determines how strong a structure is.
