First Day

The plan:what are we going to do in England?

The accommodation

We are going to overnight in Bayswater Inn Hotel that is right near Hyde Park, in the centre of London.It offers a wide range of facilities and also breakfast is included in the price.

The Victoria and Albert Museum is situated in Cromwell road, London. It is one of the most important museums in the world, dedicated at painting, sculpture and also architecture.This museum was founded in 1852 and it took the name of the queen Victoria and her consort Prince Albert. It hosts a permanent collection made up by more than 4,5 millions works.

The main exposition is located along the seven floors of the Victorian building and it occupies an area of 45.000 square meters.The exposition itinerary is divided in five big areas: Asia, Europe, materials/techniques, modern objects and exhibitions.Every floor of the museum presents a series of objects like jewelry, crystals, weapons, ceramic...

What can we see there?

  • Being one of the eight Royal parks of London, it is setted in the hearth of the city.
  • It was built by Henry VIII, in the 16th century.
  • It is famous around the world for the free speeches and demonstrations that take place especially in the Speaker’s Corner.
  • Even now it is not rare to see someone using that corner to protest about nowadays issues.

Second day

A fountain for a beloved princess

  • In the morning we are going to Princess Diana Memorial Fountain.
  • It opened in 2004 and by winning a series of International awards it quickly became one of London’s most popular attractions.
  • The design itself expresses the qualities of the beloved Princess Diana: sensitivity and inclusiveness.

  • After completing the walk around the lake we can reach The Serpentine Bar & Kitchen.
  • The restaurant where we are having our traditional english brunch: pork sausages, smoked bacon, baked beans and poached eggs, all this for only 11 pounds per person.

LUNCH

  • After lunch, we are going to Rose Garden, in the South East of the Park, only 5 minutes walk from the restaurant.
  • The Garden opened in 1994 and it’s famous for mixing roses' beauty with seasonal flowers.
  • Last, we visit the fountain statue of Diana the Huntress that was sculpted by Lady Feodora Gleichen in 1899.

ROSE GARDEN

It would be like being in that magic world!

As for the fun activity we are going to have the harry potter walking tour . This lasts 2 hours and we cold sightsee many streets and a lot of places that inspired J.K Rowling to write Harry Potter.

THIRD DAY

  • The day after, we head to the Lake District.
  • We are taking the train from London Euston Station to Penrith, (about 3 to 4 hours), it will cost 186,50 € for 3 people.
  • From there Keswick, our destination, is only about 30 minutes away by bus.
  • We are spending 9 € per person.

TranspORt

Lake district is a mountainous zone in the north-west of England. It is the second biggest park of UK and it is composed by14 lakes and several mountains. Since 2017 it is part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. The climate there is very windy and really umid, it's often foggy. Lake district is the perfect habitat for squirrels and a lot of different species of fishes, there grow many carnivorous plants. There is also a connection between this park and the poetry of 19th century, because there lived a group of poets : the Lake Poets that didn't follow any school and were romantics.

LAKE DISTRICT

  • Keswick has recently become the major centre for tourism in the northern Lake District.
  • It is situated next to Derwentwater lake, To its west rise the fells of Cat Bells.
  • Keswick is now one of the main centres of Outdoor Activities in the UK

KESWICK

In the morning we are going to have a 50 minutes cruise above the Derventwater lake. There, we could enjoy the Catbells, the 4th highest mountain of England and the views and landscapes of the Northern Lake District.

Finally, we are going to have a walk in the town visiting the market and a lot of shops, so we can buy some souvenir for our family before we go home.
