The colors of the flag are red, white, blue and black. Each of these colors have a meaning even the background. The white background means the land. The red and blue circle represents the people. And the four black things on the flag represents the government.

The south korean flag

First up we have the survival of the japanese invasions. Even after survivng there were still consenquenses because the japanese still had some type of power over them. And they decided to to limit its contact with the outside world. And then 250-year-long period of peace went on and few Koreans were traveling outside their isolated country. Next we have world war 2 and this kinda ties into the first one. And this is because during world war 2 the japanese had tried to wipe out its distinctive language and cultural identity and make Koreans culturally Japanese. How cruel even men were forced to be in the japanese army while many korean women were forced to provide certain explicit services and were known as comfort women.

Third in line we have the Korea division. In 1945 the United States Of America and the Soviet Union divided the peninsula into to zones.By 1948 South Korea was establish in seoul. In the north the soviets had Kim Il Sung as their first leader in North Korea.And thats how we have North and South Korea today.Forth. The Korean war. When South Korea declared independance in 1950 this led to North Korea becoming backed by China and the Soviet Union. And then North Korea tried to invade South Korea again to try and take over the entire peninsula.The U.S and U.N fought along side South Korean forces in the Korean War which costed 2 million lives and ended in 1953.
