IInquiry: Presentation

This article holds the perspective that early vocabulary skills are a predictor of literacy skills later on in life.

Tier 2: words that are often found in read-alouds and / or used by adults that might be unfamiliar to our students

Tier 3: words that are either not used very often or are specific to a content, like academic vocabulary

Carefully select vocabulary targets.

Tier 1: Words that are more likely to be familiar to our students.
