- In our daily use of Linux/Unix systems, we use many command-line tools to complete our work and to understand and manage our systems—tools like du to monitor disk utilization and top to show system resources.
- Some of these tools have existed for a long time. For example, top was first released in 1984, while du was first release dates to 1971.Over the years, these tools have been modernized and ported to different systems, but, in general, they still follow their original idea, look, and feel.
- Command line tools are scripts, programs, and libraries that have been created with a unique purpose, typically to solve a problem that the creator of that particular tool had himself. Linux commands are executed on Terminal by pressing Enter at the end of the line.
01. Introduction.
- You can run commands to perform various tasks, from package installation to user management and file manipulation.
- Here’s what a Linux command’s general syntax looks like: CommandName [option(s)] [parameter(s)]
- These are the three most common parts of a command:
02. THeory
- WTTR.In
03. Commands.
2. Top Command
3. Googler.
4. Mapscii
5.Yes Tool. This command which comes by default in Linux is handy for system administrators who can use it to pass a predefined response to the terminal. Example of use: $ yes Aryan
7. Factor Command
6. Df Command The df command primarily checks disk usage on a mounted filesystem. If you don't include a file name, the output shows the space available on all currently mounted filesystems.
Linux commands let you perform basic and administrative tasks quickly and effectively from the Terminal. With it, you’ll have more flexibility over your system and the ability to access features that are not always available through a graphical user interface. With the linux commands we can make many apps like System moniter,Search the web etc.
