Advantages of working in hospital
Variation of job opportunities
One of them is a variation of job opportunities. A nurse can work on a different wards like A&E, operating theatre, paediatric ward etc. There are several varieties of work in the healthcare industries. One can also change their positions many times to try some different position.
Better Salary And Improved Benefits
Since healthcare is constantly seeking new employees, their salary is better than any other industry. Also, they enjoy several benefits which they are offered along with their job. However, their salary depends upon training and capability.
Chance To Help People
A benefit of working in hospital is being able to help patients overcome their health challenges. We all believe that those who are involved in healthcare fields are doing noble works. In these professions, you get immense pleasure in serving humanity.
Regardless of their role in the healthcare sector, they will be able to work with a group of doctors, nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, lab workers etc., to achieve an overall goal. And the goal is to improve and save patients’ lives.
Most healthcare professionals have to experience a fast-paced workday with a continuously changing environment.

Disadvantages Of Working In A Healthcare Industry
Feeling fatigued
Work in this field can be physically draining. Healthcare workers have to work longer than average work time. Working more than 12 hours a day can be tiring. Moreover, spending the whole day inside a room with the patients can be stressful. Many factors can cause fatigue, such as lack of sleep, workplace stressors and not consuming enough nutritious food.
Non-traditional schedule
Because of the fast-paced and unpredictable nature of hospitals, many medical professionals adhere to nontraditional and sometimes inconsistent work schedules. For example, the work hours of hospital staff may start in the early morning and end late at night. It is also not uncommon for medical staff to work on holidays.
Hospital staff may have more exposure to germs because of their job responsibilities. The severity of the exposure depends on the patient and how ill they have fallen.

Hospital situations can be stressful to patients, which may lead some to become impatient or uncooperative. To ease these sorts of behaviors, hospital staff can assure patients of the recovery process and keep them informed of the progress at every stage. Patients with dementia or other memory loss sickness can be violent towords medical stuff.

When they work diligently and don't receive any acknowledgment from their colleagues or thanks from patients, they may feel undervalued.
Patient mortality happens and is somewhat expected and more common in certain healthcare facilities such as emergency room, geriatrics, or oncology office.
Observing death
Life and death are not in anyone’s control; therefore, death is inevitable. And it can be very stressful to spot someone dying in front of you.

The healthcare field is one of the most respected professions in the world because they work for the betterment of the world. Doctors, nurses, assistants, and other medical practitioners work for the improvement of people’s health and save lives. A career in this field is very rewarding and have many benefits.
