Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn´s story

Marilyn Monroe was born in Los Angeles the first of June 1926 and she died the fifth August 1962. Her birth name was Norma Jeane Mortenson. How do you think her early life was? She had a very hard life because her father left her when she was a kid, and her mother was an ill person, so she was sent to different houses with different families and also to some orphanage. But she wasn´t an unhappy child. She never used to be sorry for herself. She studied and learnt at Los Angeles orphanage. She revealed that she often fantasized about where her father might be. First, Marilyn became a model and photographers used to take pictures of her for magazines. But she always wanted to be an actress and she was waiting and preparing herself for an opportunity. ``Some like it hot´´ was her most famous movie. What was she wearing in the film? Her dress is a well-known dress, a black sexy piece of cloth all covered in sequins. She became a big Hollywood star, made a lot of good movies and was very famous around the world. Marilyn won a few Golden Globes for best actress nomination . At the beginning of her career she wasn´t doing the type of films she wanted because she always had to play the ``dumb blond´´ role. In fact she wasn´t blonde., her hair was dark brown. She died of pill overdose at the age of 36 years. I think she was a great, brilliant and fighter woman. Nowadays she is still considered as one of the most beautiful women in the cinema history.
