How does a vaccine get approved?

For a vaccine to get approved in most countries first, it'll be recomended by WHO. Then it'll be decided by each country which vaccines to approve with the experts' opinions. Now, in the EU, vaccines have to be approved by the EMA. These vaccines will then be part of the 'Green pass programme'. If the vaccines are both recomended by WHO and approved by the EMA, they will then take part in the COVAX scheme.
