Lowicz folk art in everybody objets

In today’s lesson, you will perform an art task related to our country, Poland. The theme will be…… To find out, what will be the topic of our classes, please solve the task on the card I have prepared for you. Do the task in pairs, please. Please, wait a minute, I will give you the cards.

On the card you have squares with passwords encoded in them. On the left, in the squares, there are national symbols of Poland and Turkey with lines on them. The lines show you what letters you need to collect in the squares on the right.

Please look at the arrows that will help you to get a proper word. Write the letters in the place with dots. The letters will make words that are entries. At the very bottom, write the entries from the squares in order to find out what the topic of our today’s lesson is.

The pair that completes the task raises hands.

Artistic activity, very often created in the countryside. Apart from the works called visual arts, folk art also includes music, dances, legends, fairy tales, folk poetry and the entire artistic side of folk customs and rituals.

Folk art in Poland is divided into the regions we have, there are twenty-four of them. Each region has a distinctive costume and theme that makes it stand out.

The Lowicz cutout is the most famous design motif in Polish folk art.

The most popular is the Lowicz cutout decorated with local patterns.

The most important feature of the art of Lowicz are colors. Very strong and intense colors.

Your task is to decorate an item of your choice according to the instructions. Your colleagues from Poland will help you. I will show you how to get the task done in a moment.
