Rhythm in art appears due to the repetition of cretain elements of the composition at certainintervals.It occurs in musical, painting,sculptural, graphic and other works.In everyday life,the easiest way to observe the rhythm is in architecture.

Rytm w sztuce pojawia się dzięki powtórzeniom pewnych elementów kompozycji w określonych odstępach.Występuje w utworach muzycznych,malarskich,rzeźbiarskich,graficznych i innych.Na co dzień najłatwiej zaobserwować rytm w architekturze.

Powtarzanie motywu nie tylko wprowadza ład do dzieła,ale ułatwia i przyspiesza jego wykonanie. Wystarczy raz wymyślić wzór,by potem powielić go dowolną ilość razy. Z tego powodu rytm bardzo często pojawia się w wytworach ręcznych takich, jak koronki, hafty, wycinanki ludowe, zdobienie naczyń, plecionki (np.koszyki).

Repeating the motif not only brings order to the work,but also facilitates and speede up its execution.It is enough to come up with a pattern once and then duplicate it as many times as you like.For this reason, the very often appears in hannddicrafts suchas lace,embroidery, folk cut- outs, ornaments of dishes,various braids(e.g. baskets).
