Athletics

  • All students are free to sign up for any athletic sports they wish, but they must make the team and stay in the class. If you are cut during tryouts, we will change your schedule to a PE class and available elective.
  • Cross Country is before/after school and will not be schedule into regular your day. Do not use it as one of your 8 periods.
  • Only list the FIRST sport you are going to try out for on your 4-year plan. Coaches will allow you to try out for the next sport when the season is over.
  • Example: If you want to play football and basketball, you will place football only on your plan or if you want Volleyball and Softball, you will place Volleyball only. We will move your sport when the season is over.

Alternates

  • We ask that you choose 3 alternate courses for all elective courses. Alternates are sometimes needed if your first choice electives won’t work in your schedule. This is not uncommon!
  • Keep in mind that your alternate choices need to be classes that you’d be equally happy to take in case we need to use them.
  • If a student does not complete the alternates, the counselor will place them in the courses available that work with the student schedules and needed credits.
