4. How can we fight the melting of the permafrost ?

2. What is methane and what are its effects on the atmosphere

3. Why should we be worried about this phenomenon ?

1. What is permafrost and why is it thawing ?

Index

What is permafrost ?

And why is it thawing ?

A frozen and waterproof ground

The permafrost is separated in three principal layers

The last layer of the permafrost could start to melt in 10 to 30 years !

We can also notice that the first layer of permafrost is increasingly rarely completely frozen

What is methane ?

What are its effects on our atmosphere ?

What is Methane

A molecule very abundant in the natural environment, which has an important combustible potential but also accentuates the greenhouse effect when it is in the atmosphere.

Should we be worried ?

Does it represent a danger for us ?

The consequences of climate change

It affects animals, vegetation, oceans, land, and also humans. No one is spared by this phenomenon.

How can we fight against it ?

How to counter this phenomenon ?

The real problem is that the source of this problem, is also its consequence. This phenomenon feeds itself.

We must treat the problem at its source! But...

We need to act now !

This phenomenon only gets worse with time and we must stop it as quickly as possible
