Lions, after hunting its prey, bury it in the ground. They remember exactly where they left their food to come back for it when they get hungry.

The roar of a lion under favorable conditions is audible even from a distance of 8 km.

Lions like to be outdoors.

Lionesses take care of hunting. They are responsible for 90% of hunting.

Right after the tiger, lions are the largest living cats. Their weight exceeds even 250 kg.

interesting facts about lions

We know that lions and lionesses "date" each other and try to impress each other as much as possible. We know that they communicate through sounds and enjoy being in the herd. This makes us understand that social life is very important to them. So communication and bonding are very important here.

The main responsibility of the males is to conquer and defend the territory, and to defend the herd. The females take care of food and take care of young lion cubs.

Lions are six times more sensitive to light than humans, so they can see perfectly in the dark. Hence their advantage over prey when hunting at night.

" The roar of the lion, known very well in pop culture, can be heard even from a distance of eight kilometers. This sound allows the lions to communicate with each other and can mean different things. It allows lions to pinpoint their location, informs them of the presence of other lions in the area, and even that they are in the territory of another herd. In turn, lionesses can make characteristic sounds thanks to which they communicate with their young.

abilities

For centuries, the lion has symbolized power, strength, power and bravery. It was a very common symbol in heraldry, it appeared in the nicknames of kings, it was - and is - also a male name given in many cultures. Nowadays, we also meet lions every day, at every turn. We can see them in the logs of companies, from automotive (Peugeot) to financial (ING bank). In books and movies, it is a typical representation of a just and good ruler ("The Lion King"), and is for us a symbol of sacrifice and salvation for the world.Whether the lion will remain the king of animals, not only on the pages of books or on the TV screen, depends on man and his attitude towards nature. This beautiful cat is the best symbol of nature degraded by man - although he is admired, loved, adored by crowds of people, although we cannot imagine the world without him, people are taking his crown and kingdom.
