Recently British prime minister David Cameron appologized for the shootings and promised financial compensation for the victims families
An investigation exonerated the British army by concluding that it was responding to IRA fire. However, no weapons were found at the scene. In addition, all the victims were demonstrators.
There are two versions: - According to the British, the paratroopers were target of IRA ( Irish Republican Army ) and retaliated -According to the demonstrators, the British army deliberately fired at an unarmed crowd.
