Cognite Function is a tool that helps you build solutions using the data in Cognite Data Fusion. It schedules your Python functions in an easy-to-use interface, enabling you to execute your calculations. In addition, it works natively with Cognite Data Fusion.
In this course, our instructors first introduce you to Cognite Functions through simple examples. Then, they walk you through solving a use case hands-on with Cognite Functions. If you need help with the exercises, get in touch on Cognite Hub.

At the end of the course, you'll be able to:
- Explain when and why to use Cognite Functions.
- Create & deploy a Cognite function with various methods: in a notebook, using a folder, or using the CDF user interface.
- Test & monitor the deployed functions using code or the CDF user interface.
- This course is aimed at data scientists. Solution architects, data engineers, and domain engineers with some coding knowledge can also find it useful and relevant.
Knowledge Prerequisites:
- Basic proficiency in Python.
- Fundamental understanding of the data's journey through Cognite Data Fusion.
