What is Chatter?

A foundational feature in GoSell for communication across functional and regional groups

Ask questions to recieve responses from your peers
Bookmark important updates that you want to review later
Subscribe to updates of specific collegues and leaders
In chatter you can...

Chatter not only provides you with a platform for collaboration in functional and regional groups, but it also enables streams of threaded conversations directly onto records such as Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, etc.

Locating Chatter

To quickly access Chatter, click on the chatter tab

Chatter can be found on all your records - Account, Opportunities, etc

Chatter Feed: Utilize feeds to track posts associated with specific records, communicate significant events, and attach files and links

From the Chatter homepage, you can access your total chatter feed, and the communication channels that matter to you the most.

Chatter Groups: Groups are comparable to sub-forums or interest groups in social media, for communication and collaboration among users—but fully integrated into our GoSell secure environment

Accesss an existing group
Create a new group

Utilize groups to facilitate communication with specific sets of users. If you need, you can also create your own!

Keep in mind that Chatter posts are part of the permanent record stored in Salesforce. Like any other company correspondence, access to these could potentially be required in a legal proceeding, so it is imperative that you use proper etiquette when communicating.

Lastly, here are a few things to keep in mind about Chatter

Chatter functions within our comprehensive security framework for GoSell. It doesn’t provide access to the contents of any records or groups that a user wouldn’t have permissions to view in the first place.
