Department located in the northwestern part of the country. It is bordered to the north by the Caribbean Sea and the department of Córdoba. Its capital is the city of Medellín.

GEOGRAPHY

Antioquia is associated with the mountains because of its impressive nature. Its culture and economy have developed in the mountains. The Western and Central mountain ranges represent a part of the department's territory, while the other part corresponds to plains. The departmental geography in general is very varied, and combines all the elements of the national geography: sea, plains, mountains, high plateaus, moors, rivers, swamps and forests.

Antioquia has more than a hundred traditional festivals and celebrations. The main municipalities have become the epicenter of great experiences for locals and foreigners. Here is a compilation of some of the most outstanding and recognized festivals by the people of Antioquia: -Toné Cacique Traditional Festivities. -Fruit Festival -Corn Festival -Plantain Festival -Santa fe de Antioquia Film Festival -Festival of the Sea and the Volcano in Arboletes, Antioquia.

Antioquia has a great gastronomic variety. The origin of the typical dishes of Antioquia existed since the first pre-Columbian inhabitants of these areas. Some of them are: 1. Paisa tray 2.
