Results of the students' evaluation

1-The activities throughout the project implementation were interesting, thought provoking and promoted active participation.

Most of the students felt comfortable with the people they met abroad and almost all of them would gladly participate in a similar project again. The few cases of students who disagreed on this point (3 in total) seem to have taken into account the age difference with students from other schools, as is evident from their comments in the last question of the evaluation.

The majority of students believe that they improved their communication (85%), language (79%) and ICT (67%) skills as a result of their participation in the project.

The majority of students (approximately 80%) found the project activities interesting and useful in broadening their knowledge of the marine environment.

The project was a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, make friends and develop many skills.

IIt was a good project. Things would be much better if we had no pandemic.

The project and its activities were interesting. It was a nice experience, i developed my speaking abilities i met beautiful people and learned about foreign culture.

Motivating and thought-provoking but a lot of the activities were also fun for both the students and the teachers.

More than 90% of the participating teachers believe that apart from their students the project helped also them develop professionally; they improved their interpersonal skills and exchanged experiences and ideas with colleagues from other countries. Therefore they would gladly get involved again in an Erasmus project.

The vast majority of teachers (more than 90%) found the project activities interesting and useful for their students, as it helped in both broadening their knowledge and understanding of the marine environment and in sensitizing them towards its protection.

Most parents believe their children had a good time abroad and those who hosted foreign students at their homes consider this experience a pleasant one. Consequently they would recommend the participation in such projects to other students as well.

The majority of parents believe that the project contributed to the development of their children’s communication an language skills and it raised their interest in getting to know other places and cultures.

Around 90% of the parents found the project thought provoking and beneficial for their children, as it pushed them out of their comfort zone and made them participate in extracurricular activities.
