Presentations of the different collections of groups of fashion design students (1st, 2nd and 3rd year - Master in Clothing) "Fashion Upcycling Tunisia" during the fashion show on April 27, 2018 at the Higher Institute of Fashion Professions in Monastir (IS3M).

Izem and the Higher Institute of Fashion Professions in Monastir “IS3M” worked in partnership to organize a series of educational workshops “Fashion Upcycling” Eco Chic Fashion Design, from January 25 to April 27, 2018 with fashion design students , working with leftover fabrics from local factories in Tunisia.

To make their Fashion Upcycling Tunisia collections, the DEMCO group graciously gave them second-choice textile waste and arranged for some trainees to be able to finalize their collections in the DEMCO factory.

Workshop: Fashion Upcycling Tunisia - Au Centre Sectoriel de Formation en Habillement - Monastir (CSFH) du 11 avril au 30 juin 2019. Les formateurs ont amené les stagiaires à expérimenter les outils et techniques de créativité en travaillant de façon inhabituelle dans les approches des différentes techniques de l’éco design de la mode durable. Dans le but de réaliser une robe décalée Fashion Upcycling en s’inspirant du thème “le costume traditionnel tunisien venant de différentes villes de la Tunisie.

INTRODUCTION

ZEM develops educational workshops in fashion schools in Tunisia, with the aim of framed learning on educational principles of sustainability and taking into account both environmental and socio-economic aspects. We work in collaboration with textile companies and denim manufacturers, brands, and organizations to promote and encourage designers to create Upcycling collections.

WORKSHOP: ESMOD TN - CIRCULAR FASHION & BIODIVERSITY COLLABORATIVE TUNISIA 2021

From March 31 to June 30, 2021, the students carried out an "Upcycling Dress" project (using scraps of new Denim fabrics, residual cuts from the SITEX manufacturing workshop and clothes from the thrift store) around different cultural themes and taking into account the preservation of biodiversity in Tunisia.

January 2022 with the partners ESMOD (Tunis & Sousse), SITEX, SARTEX & IZEM accompanied the students of Esmod (Tunis & Sousse) to carry out their educational project “Upscale Circular Fashion Denim” on educational principles of sustainability and taking account of the environmental impact. February 2022 visit to the SITEX workshops (It is an integrated (Denim) company which consists of two factories, the first is a spinning unit in Sousse, the second is a dyeing, weaving and finishing unit in Ksar Hellal. ), and SARTEX (It is a company (Denim) which is responsible for the purchase, storage, testing, cutting, sewing of fabrics, washing, treatment and finishing.). March 2022 - The SITEX company voluntarily donated Denim raw materials to Esmod schools (Tunis & Sousse). April 2022 - Creation of the “Upscale Circular Fashion Denim” collections by first, second and third year students.
