- Besides comparing people and objects, you can also compare places considering location, environment, cultural facts and general condicion among other aspects. Comparative adjectives end with the suffix -er.
Let´s check out the structure NOUN + VERB BE + COMPARATIVE ADJECTIVE + THAN + NOUN
3. Two-syllables or more adjectives that do no end in Y, you form the comparative with the use o the word more or less.careful-less careful peaceful-more peaceful 4.if the two-syllable adjectives ends with -y, change they to i and add -er for the comparative form. happy-happier funny-funnier
1. one - syllable adjective with final -elarge-larger close-closer 2. one-syllable adjective ends with a single consonant with a vowel before it, double the consonant and add -er for the comparative form. However, do not double the consonant in words ending in -w,-x or -y. big-bigger thin- thinner
