Hi this is the presentation for group -3 and we are discussing about recycling.

What is recycling? Why is it important to all of us?

Definition•To recycle: to treat or process used materials or waste so we can use these materials again .•This stops us from wasting useful materials.

  1.  Reusing plastic bags when you go to the supermarket.
  2. Recycling paper so it can be processed and used again.
  3.  Melting food cans made from steel and making them into new food cans.
  4. Instead of throwing away uneaten food, you can compost it

Examples of Recycling

  1. It reduces the number of fresh raw materials we use.
  2. It reduces the amount of energy we use
  3. It reduces air pollution
  4. It reduces water pollution
  5. It lowers the amount of greenhouse gases

Recycling is important because…

Compost

  •   Compost is an earthlike material. It forms when organic materials biodegrade (are broken down by worms and bacteria).
  • Compost is great to use in your garden: it returns nutrients to the soil and helps your plants to grow.

We can recycle:•Compost•Metals•Tin cans•Glass•Papers•Plastics

What do you think we can recycle?

We cant recycle this:

Tin cans What is the significance of recycling this type of item?

  • Recycling aluminum cans saves energy and minimizes carbon dioxide emissions as well as the quantity of waste that ends up in landfills. Collecting and recycling your cans is a vital step you can take to protect the environment.

•Planter •Pencil holder •Lantern •Utensil holder •Wine rack •Organizing Caddy •Decorations

Ways to recycle tin cans

Guided Questions:

Recycling aluminum cans saves energy and minimizes carbon dioxide emissions as well as the quantity of waste that ends up in landfills. Collecting and recycling your cans is a vital step you can take to protect the environment.

What is the significance of recycling this type of item?

What are some examples of recyclable items?

Varieties of recyclable items include glass bottles and containers, metal containers, containing tin aluminum, and steel cans. Food waste, if your community has an organic arrangement protocol.

Show an example of how this product can be recycled.

As we can see from the video presented jamaica recycled the tin can by formulating it into something beneficial like a flowerpot. Of course, there are many ways to reuse tin cans like a pencil holder that can keep your workplace organized and neat.

Recycling conserves natural resources through conserving energy and water, reducing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, improving air and water quality, preserving landfill space, and conserving natural resources. Recycling lowers the need for new raw materials to be grown, harvested, or extracted from the Earth. As a result, there is less disruption and damage to the natural world: fewer trees are cut down, rivers are diverted, wild creatures are damaged or displaced, and water, soil, and air pollutants are reduced.

How does recycling benefit their way of life?

Do you believe ethnic groups recycle as well?

Yes, in certainty This research produced mixed results when it came to how ethnic minorities react to environmental issues. Ethnic groups can also recycle to help reduce the need for landfills and more expensive disposal methods. Recycling also reduces the need for raw material extraction (mining, quarrying, and logging), refining, and processing, all of which cause significant air and water pollution.

thanks!
