New York City is located in the extreme south of New York State, in the northeast of the United States, near Washington D.C. and Boston. It is based on a group of islands at the mouth of the Hudson River, occupying the entire island of Manhattan and western Long Island.

  • That morning, nineteen terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger planes.

Officially called “Liberty Enlightening the World", the statue is a large monument located on Liberty Island in Manhattan, New York, declared a World Heritage Site in 1984. It symbolizes freedom, democracy, and the hope of the people representing the Roman goddess of freedom "Libertas". He carries a torch in his right hand and in his left he holds the United States Declaration of Independence, with the country's independence date written in Roman numerals, July 4, 1776. The statue measures 92 meters.

Empire State Building

The Empire State Building is a 102-story skyscraper in midtown Manhattan, New York City, on Fifth Avenue between West 33rd and 34th Streets. It has a roof height of 381 meters, but with its antenna tower, the building reaches a height of 443 meters. Its name derives from the nickname of New York State, the Empire State.
