COLOR CONTRASTS

This is my favourite colour contrast created. Yellow and violet. Yellow is a primary colour and violet is a secondary colour. I wanted to have a separate side for the two contrasts,moving into different directions in the piece with varying shade differences (tertiary&secondary differences). The piece is meant to display contrast in an aggressive way.

COLOR CONTRASTS

In this piece, I have chosen red (primary) and green (secondary) to display contrast. It displays connection and contrast in this piece, placing the contrasting colours next to each other but having the main focus in the middle where different shapes are opposing each, with their contrasting colour. Also, the piece uses shapes, secondary and tertiary colours of red and green to complement each other.

Wavy (analog)

This pattern piece consists of organic shapes varying from smaller to bigger that hug each piece together. With the combination of two primary colours and a multi coloured painting, each section of waves vary from each other by hierarchy of size.

This alternative pattern piece, shows green pieces being intertwined with painted pieces (that are the contrasting colour) with a toned yellow background.
