Driving Question:What is the purpose of memorials and monuments? What impact do they have on us and the way we think about history?For this project students created a 1-3 minute video presentation about a monument or memorial they selected in the St. Louis, Missouri region. Students had to describe the memorial, when it was installed and what public narrative does it tell. Students also had to make a recommendation for a new monument/memorial for a story or narrative they thought was missing. We ask our global collaborative to share momumnets in their communities and the stories those momuments tell.
