Axes Quilt Terminale LVB 2022-2023 Our Axes Quilt depicts a few of the axes that we have studied over the last two years. Our interpretation and opinions of each axis are reflected here. Can you figure out which axis is depicted on each square? 1. Identities and Exchanges: How did America come to abandon frontier dreams for a closed border? 2. Private area and public space: To what extent have women used the public sphere as a platform to empowerment? 3. Art and power: Can Art beat the US Mexico border? 4. Citizenship and virtual worlds: To what extent can we believe the news we get? 7. Diversity and Inclusion: To what extent has public protest help improve equality? 8. Territory and memory: How do Indigenous Peoples keep their culture alive? What obstacles have Indigenous Peoples faced since colonisation?
Conscious Art as ActivismWhile studying Axis 3 – The Power of Art – we considered how today’s eco-artists are changing the world. We finally created an art exhibition about eco-artists from around the world and some of us decided to let our artistic sides shine by creating our own eco-art inspired by these real artists. We hope you enjoy reading about the artists and exploring our original art.
