Art in our "I have a DREAM" future school

Yellow team

Would you like to share one of your drawings or some street art you would like to see on the walls of the Dream School?"

Questions:

"Which piece of art will be hanging in the School of the Future?

I agree with Lydia M., I also think it would be nice to make an abstract work with recycled material, symbolising pollution. But I don't think it's a good idea to hang students' artwork on the school walls, especially because with so much colour it would look like a circus.

i don't now if i would like to see one of my drawings at the Future School, because i'm a very shy person but i think it's a good idea hang student artwork on school walls

Art is very subjective, for some people art can evoke some emotions or others, that is why it would be difficult to say a type of art that transmits the same to all of us, I would not be able to say what type of art would be good for an institute or college, a good idea would be to have paintings of students who like art and let them express it however they want.

I think that the piece of art will be hanging in the school of the Future doesn't exict yet. But I can imagine how it will be. The piece of art will be an abstract sculpture made of plastic to raise awareness the students of the school.

I think that it would be very cool to make sculptures and paintings about the evolution of the building and its history. These paintings would be diferent paintings of the students that were students from there. Of course I would love sharing my art with others, it is my passion. I often do that with my classmate, close friends and otherones.

I agree with you.I had the same idea, and it would also be a good idea, if there have been school refurbishments and events, to show them through artistic models.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of my drawings in my dream school, but maybe after finishing my school years.

I think it would be a good idea to have a painting which represents a bit the history of the school and there would be different designs or paintings to make students feel less stressed to create a good athmosphere and make the building more creative.

As a lot of students could see, appreciate, and perhaps gain inspiration from my art, sharing my drawings with the Dream School would be a dream come true. In conclusion, art is a really hard concept to understand and it changes throughout the years so it is impossible to build a school with artworks that everyone enjoys.

Art is an important part of people’s lives since it is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. I believe having art pieces, such as paintings or sculptures, in the school of the future would increase the student's motivation and inspiration. The piece of art I would choose would definitely be a painting created by VEXX or Gawx for the fact that they are the most brilliant artists I have ever seen.

Inês G.

Hi Daniela! I totally agree with you, I think that schools should consider having more art, it's not seen in many schools and it should be changed, in my opinion.

To conclude, I think that the most viewed schools and buildings should have more art, but innovative and interesting, because I think that art is lagging behind and it is not being given its due value and utility.

Secondly, I would like to show a piece of art made by me, but my way of doing things is practised, and unfortunately, I don't have anything worth showing, but one day I would very much to see lots of paintings made by me at my school of the future.

The definition of art changes from person to person, from year to year and even from country to country. In the first place, I would like my school of the future to have various types of art on display so that everyone could like them and appreciate them in their own way.

In the future i dont quite see myself as a prime example of an artist, but since i am into drawing lately,i would be pleased to provide any neccesary help to a or many future schools in the aspect of decorating it and filling it with art pieces

In conclusion, art is hard to understand and even harder to predict as it is always changing. Artists from future generations will have more knowledge about the world we live in and different perspectives. Surely they won´t do a bad job.

Secondly, the idea of how paintings will look in the future is very vague and unpredictable. Schools in the future could use an old-fashioned style and have a portrait of the principal or they could have a random line that could mean different things to different people. It is hard to guess but I still have hope that R2D2 and C3PO will rule planet earth and as a consequence, all schools will need a picture of them hanging on every single wall.

Firstly, let me start by describing how paintings have changed through the years. Since humans existed on earth, paintings have been used to describe something and they have changed a lot from what they were hundreds of years ago or what they were now. They were used as portraits in the last centuries and now they can even be abstract, meaning that they can be what each person wants. I believe that paintings will not be the same in the future as they are always changing, but of course, each person has their opinion.

Dear Martim, I read your text about art and i came across the fact that you consider your art to be bad. From my point of view,i consider your critisism harsh towards yourself and i am of the thought that no piece of art can be called bad due to art having many aspects with every one being unique Side note:I found the R2D2 and the C3PO wall design as a spectacular concept for a star wars theme.

i don't now if i would like to see one f my drawings at the Future School, because i'm a very shy person but i think it's a good idea hang student artwork on school walls

Personally i am of the thought that student's art pieces do not aquire the attention they deserve, henseforth leaving students with the feeling of disbelief and failure. What i am trying to state is that student's creations,no matter the quality, should be hanged or shown in an area of the school to resemble the beautiness of creation and to watch the joy on the childrens face.

Paintings are used nowadays to represent or express what the artist feels. Sometimes they can be interpreted in different ways by different people that try to understand them.

. I think there should be every kind of art shoulkd be hanging in school. There should be students' arts and also teachers' arts.Maybe there would be expensive arts too and the walls of school would full of arts(street art). Yes,probably, I would give my arts or paints to school If I would.

Well, on the one hand I would like to have replicas of famous paintings made by the class and on the other hand I would like each student to feel free to hang up any of their own work, with the teacher's permission.

Well, I have to think about it. Not easy to decide if it is about a replica. I like clean spaces without so many drawings and pieces that have no purpose or use

Art, that will be hanging in the School of future should be modern and collective work by students. By this art, they can show their talent. And also can find their secret talent. Student projects maybe will not be popular and valuable, but student will be proud. In this art they can show what they like, their hobbies, what is their inspiration. This art will be unique, because other schools don’t have it. It can be in main corridor, cafeteria or common room. Creating school art can be very funny and students from other class can get to know with each other. I hope, in future we will have something like this. I don’t know if I want to have my art hang on the walls in school. I can’t draw. But if I must - or for fun. I will do it. Maybe it will be good and I will like it.

EKRAM L.

I fully agree with you. I think art is for expressing ourselves. Because sometimes we can't find the words to transmit something, but we can find the colours.

Bruno & Željka

We think that art should represent the school, the studnents and the history of school. In the School of the Future, works of art by students and teachers should be hanging. The pieces of art should represent everyone´s inner thoughts. We would like to share our pieces of art, beacuse it is important to express ourselves and our emotions.

I think most schools should consider hanging some paintings around the school.Students could walk around the school and see some art, that could also inspire them in many ways. Most of the students feel stressed or even axious when they're in school, because of all the exams and what's going to happen, so I think, some sort of art could reduce these emotions. Also, it would be wonderfull to see the history of the school represented in art - in some painting.I also think, that the idea of hanging other people's street art (if they agree with it, of course), that would be seen by others, seems very inspiring for someone who likes to draw. At this point, I also like to draw and paint, but I think I'm not that good at it, so I wouldn't be that comfortable with my drawing hanging around the school. Also, in my elementary school, we used to have art as a subject, and our teachers displayed our creations around the school, and it was nice to see, because the school felt more friendly, creative and overall more postitive.

At my school we love graffities as students' projects. I think they are colorful and they make us think positive and we feel that we have an ownership and we take care of it. This is my favorite, a photo with my fellows in the class that i took for you

There could be lots of beautiful pieces of art that we could have in our school walls. However, I think it wouldn't be something it exists, because nothing of thes was made for a school environment. I don't wanna see any of my drawings on my school wall. Our school has lots of grafities on its walls made by students. I personally like these grafities, because they make our school more colourful.

What about graffiti?

For my dream school i would prefer graffities and these to be made by teams of students. I like the graffities at my school and please check the following photos. These would be nice for a future school too, don't you think?

In that ideal school, all the students would make some work to hang in the hallways to inspire other students. There would be copies of important works, painted large, it would be highly encouraged. The teachers would leave more freedom of expression, at the time of making the works, they would help and provide all the material that the student needs as long as it was in their hands... They would be very good teachers.

Art, that will be hanging in the School of future should be modern and collective work by students. By this art, they can show their talent. And also can find their secret talent. Student projects maybe will not be popular and valuable, but student will be proud. In this art they can show what they like, their hobbies, what is their inspiration. Creating school art can be very funny and students from other class can get to know with each other. I hope, in future we will have something like this.

I think art is very important, especially for young people who are curious. There are many ways to interpret art but in an art school I would focus on the plastic arts, sculpture, painting and so on.

The definition of art changes every year and from person to person, so i think that art will be a lot different in the near future. Besides, every person has a different style and preference in art as well. I wouldn't prefer to see any of my drawings on the walls of the Dream School. Maybe sometime after I've graduated.Haris, Greece/Ilion

I think that this piece of art doen't excist yet and i can't imagine who it will be.. No i whouldn't like to see any of my drawings on the walls of the Dream School. Sofia , Greece Ilion

I think that the one that will be hanging doesn't exist yet or it does exist but we don't know it yet. But when I imagine it, I think about something deep and thoughtful and appealing - and in the same time beautiful. My drawing and paintings are very personal for myself and I share only a few with people I trust. I also would not like them to be seen on the walls of the Dream School now. Maybe after my death, because I would not see them. Karolina, Kopernik

I think that it would be very cool to make a different painting everyday as a collage or based on students' inspiration. A big interactive screen at school's hall where students create something new everyday

I think it would be something about tecnology. 'Cause in the future tecnology is going to be quiet important so the art and all the other things will be connected to art. I would love to share my art and I would love to talk about art with other people thats literally my favorite thing to do with people

Art based on technology?

THANOS I.

We could get this, if we work together putting our grain of sand, and together making a desert of ideas and then turn it real.

GAILUR r.

It would be interesting that this new school took in consideration the opinion and individual thoughts of the students and teachers, not trying to become every one in a machine of production, but trying to make them grow exponentialy in their own interests.
