Colonization Timeline

1400: Melaka

Malacca became the international place for spice trading. its a muslim kingdom

1511: Portugese take over

they snatched malacca from the Malays. Malays had to move to the southern part of Malaysia

The Dutch stole Malacca from the Portugese. They ruled the country for the next 150 years. Then by the 1700s, they had controlled most of the trade in the region

1641: Dutch Take Over

They captured an island called Penang and etablished a settlement named George Town. After a while they started to control more of the Malaysia.
