Jean-Michel Basquiat was born in Brooklyn in 1960, and he left home as a teenager to live in Lower Manhattan, where he took up painting and supporting himself with odd jobs. In the late 1970s he and his band became known for their graffiti, the grafitty are tagged SAMO. In 1980, after a group of underground punk and graffiti artists organized the "Times Square Show", Basquiat's paintings began to attract the attention of the art world. the jeans said that they did not buy the work itself but
a piece of Samo. This statement reflects market ax in the art boom of the 1980s that coincided with prevailing views in government and the media known as the culture wars. In this context, Basquiat was very aware of the racism often embedded in society. In his work, he integrated criticism of an art world that both celebrated and symbolized him. he often used his work to directly denounce these injustices and hypocrisies.

Prior to his tragic death in 1988 at the age of twenty-seven, Basquiat expressed seemingly limitless creative energy, producing around a thousand paintings and two thousand drawings. Over the decades, the study of Basquiat's paintings and drawings has offered above all, ongoing reflections on the experience of black people in an American and global context of the white supremacist legacy of slavery and colonialism. At the same time, Basquiat's work celebrates the histories of black art, music, and poetry, as well as the religious and everyday traditions of black life.

Many of Basquiat's works have been compared to the improvised compositions of jazz. Often the themes accumulate through multiple references to the surface, emerging as patterns from gestural brushstrokes, symbols. Most of the images in Basquiat's works have dual and triple meanings, some of which the artist discussed and some of which he left undefined, remaining open to viewers' interpretations. Basquiat sought out and enjoyed unlikely collisions of images and words, massive influxes of information and stimuli that recreated the experience of being in an exciting, inspiring, oppressive and toxic world.

He is an artist who inspires me a lot, I have always found his style incredible; remarkable man, ahead of his time, pioneer of a new form of art and new artistic mouvment. His perception of art and the world touched me, it was for someone who represented modernity and avant-gardism.

I wanna turn those blue lights into strobe lights
Not blue flashing lights, maybe fairy lights
Those blue lights into strobe lights
Maybe even fairy lights, not blue flashing lights

Don't you run when you hear the sirens coming
When you hear the sirens coming you'd better not run
'Cause the sirens not coming for you
What have you done? You went to school that day
Was a bit late, but it wasn't Monday
Kept after class for answering back
You apologized, ain't no harm in that

What have you done?
(Into strobe lights) There's no need to run
(Not blue flashing lights) If you've done nothing wrong
Blue lights should just pass you by (maybe even fairy lights)

Gun crime into your right ear
Drugs and violence into your left
Before white headphones flooding
The auditory subconscious waves you accept
You're sitting on the 4 back home
(Where you're at G answer your phone?)
Pause the poison to answer his message
Your boy sounds rush, fears for his adolescent

What have you done?
(Into strobe lights) There's no need to run
(Not blue flashing lights) If you've done nothing wrong
Blue lights should just pass you by (maybe even fairy lights)

Tall black shadow as you're getting off the bush
Shadow shows no emotion, so what's even the fuss?
But the face of your boy casts a darker picture
Of the red handed act he's gonna whisper

Look blood, I'm sorry 'cause I know you got my back
He was running, I couldn't think I had to get out of that
Not long ago, you were miming to the "Shook Ones"
Now this really is part two, 'cause you're the shook one
Hands you the tool as you question your friendship
How's man like you gonna make me a convict?
Level of a felon when I've done nothing wrong
Blood on my hands, but I don't know where it's from, oh
You got blood on your hands, but you don't know where it's from

You'd better run when you hear the sirens coming
When you hear the sirens coming
Better run when you hear the sirens coming
'Cause they will be coming for you
Run when you hear the sirens coming
Better run when you hear the sirens coming
When you hear the sirens coming
The blue lights are coming for you

What have you done?
(Into strobe lights) There's no need to run
(Not blue flashing lights) If you done nothing wrong
Blue lights should just pass you by hmm (maybe even fairy lights)

Run when you hear the sirens coming
Don't you run when you hear the sirens coming
Run when you hear the sirens coming
Don't you run when you hear the sirens coming
What have you done
Don't you run
Don't you run
Don't you run when you hear the sirens coming

Gattaca/The trueman Show

.In a perfect world, Gattaca is a center of space studies and research for young people with an irreproachable genetic heritage. Jérôme, the ideal candidate, sees his life destroyed by an accident while Vincent, an illegitimate child, dreams of going into space. Each of the two will allow the other to obtain what he wishes by thwarting the laws of Gattaca.

Info

Gattaca was a crush for me: the characters, the staging, the characters, the plot, I more than liked the reflection on society that the film imposes on us. It's a certain introspective dystopia created by the plot.

synopsis

This film tells the story of a man, Truman Burbank (played by Jim Carrey), born and raised (in a double sense) inside a gigantic television studio created to look like real life. Truman thinks his little world is the whole world. The illusion is maintained by his entourage: his "mother", his "wife" or his "best friend", all actors, conspire against Truman. Imagined by a megalomaniac producer, Christof, his actions are constantly filmed by 5,000 cameras. These images are the subject of a successful TV show.

My opinion

it's a film that marked me a lot, it's a mix between matrix, a dramatic comedy and a comic comedy. the true man show is an undeniable work which is incredible. You have to see it once in your life,
It is an innovative special film that makes you think, between surrealism but also dystopia. we get attached to the character of truman who gradually discovers behind the scenes, we discover him torn from his morals. thanks to this film we wonder about the perception of happiness, the artificial world, individual construction but above all the sacrifice of a being for the benefit of others, truman, was he the puppet of a society.

Synopsis

In the wild and frozen Far North, a young wolf learns to fight for life. The first men he meets, Indians, baptize him Whit-fang. With them, he knows the heat of the campfire, but also the taste of blood. Redeemed by a greedy man, he is trained for combat and discovers hatred. A man, however, saves him from this hell. White Fang will then discover exclusive love.

My opinon

The book takes us on a discovery of the Great American North and introduces us to the harsh laws of nature and man where the animal fights to survive and where the strongest always triumphs over the weakest. The author takes us on an invading foray into the interesting lives of wolves and half-wild dogs. A beautiful story where man and animal meet and bond. An essential novel, a great classic. Or the man is harmed without his ideologies malevolent brutal and insignificant counters for the animal. In the plot we find the ethnocentrism of men facing animals which would probably not have no conscience but it is the friendship between a wolf and this hunter that will demonstrate the opposite and that a strong bond is possible.

Jonathan Harker, a young notary, is sent to Transylvania to meet a client, Count Dracula, the new owner of an estate in London. On his arrival, he discovers a mysterious and threatening country, whose inhabitants cross themselves in the name of Dracula. Despite the benevolence of his host, the young cleric can only experience growing anxiety. Very quickly, he realizes the terrifying fact: he is the prisoner of a man who is not a man. And who will soon leave to haunt the nights of London...
My favorite quoate :I had theorie that life is positive and endless.

Louisiana is a rich state, I love it for its history and its culture, the musical universe there is incredible: jazz soul funk.
louisana's capital is "baton rouge" and the largest city is new orleans.
louisiana is close to france, its cologne past proves it. it was governed in turn with spain and france. it underwent french colonization due to the francophone conquest of 1682. it is a real land of triangular trade which results from it. after battles, wars, conflicts and treaties, in 1812 louisiana becomes the 18th state of america only one of the first not to be anglophone.
louisiana is today known for its carnivals
