She was born between 1820 and 1825 we don’t know precisely but we know she was died in 1913 in Aburn in the United States. Harriet Tubman had many sisters and brothers like Mariah Ritty, Ben, Rachel, Linah, Moses, Soph, Henry and Robert. Her parents were Harriet Greene Ross and Ben Ross. She married twice, first to John Tubman and then to Nelson Davis and she had a daughter Gertie Davis .

She worked in the United States.

.Harriet Tubman was born in a plantation ,she lived in a room cabin with her 8 brothers and sisters .At the age of 5/6 years old ,her master Edward Browdas lent Harriet to a couple with her job was to sew ,she was frequently whipped there .If the baby cried she was beaten .Sent back to Mr.Browdas,she was a domestic worker and babysitter.Around 12 years old ,she was sent to fields to work there .

.A day ,she received a weight on her head by her overseer for not having helped him,to catch a slave,who wanted to escape.This blow will leave her ,with injuries for the rest of her life .In 1849,for fear of being sold with the other slaves ,Harriet resolved to runaway .On her way she met nice people who show her the way to cross the border between free and slaves states.After a long trip she arrived in a free state more precisely in Philadelphia where she found work and she saved money to help other slaves in plantation.Then she went back to Maryland to help her family.In 1850,with the help of William Still ,she helped her first slaves to escapes to the north .She made many trips from the southern US to Canada .In all ,she helped 300 slaves .She used the Underground Railroad,a secret network so she became an abolitionist.In 1861 ,during the civil war ,she returned to the US to help the army and in 1913 she was buried with military honors .Soon ,she will be on a dollars bill .
