First of all, what is school leaving?

The share of 'early school leavers’ has steadily decreased in the European Union over the last 10 years (from 13.8% in 2010 to 9.9% in 2020).

In contrast, the highest shares were recorded in Malta, Spain, Romania, Italy and Bulgaria.

In 2020, Member States that reported the lowest shares of early leavers from education and training were Croatia, Greece, Slovenia, Ireland, and Poland.
EARLY LEAVERS WITHIN EU COUNTRIES
This target was just met in 2020 with 9.9 %. This resolution sets a new EU objective: the share of early leavers from education and training should be less than 9 % by 2030.
The European Union set an objective to be achieved by 2020: the School Dropout in the EU should be not more than 10 %.

There is a great likelihood that the students who suffer bullying feel like strangers when they are at school. Being afraid of going to school has a negative effect on the mental health, quality of life and academic performance of the student.

Students might not feel satisfactory about the learning environment due to the bad relationship with the teachers and the lack of resources and support of the institutions.
The attention in the school
If they have a private space of study or if they share with their brothers; if they have a routine of study and a timetable; or if they have to go to bibliotheques to have resources (internet, laptop) to study.

In households where the mother has a primary education at most, the dropout rate for boys is almost one in two (48%) while that of girls drops to one third (29%).
