Paul Klee was born into a musical family in 1879 in Switzerland. His mother was a singer and his father was a music teacher.As a boy, he learned to play the violin, but he chose to study art.Although he was born in Switzerland he was considered a German citizen.

biography

He moved to Munich in 1898, to enroll at the Academy ofFine Arts. In 1911, he met Wassily Kandinsky. They became great friends. Both loved to experiment with colors.Between 1920 & 1931 he worked as a teacher in "The Bauhaus"Klee loved the simplicity of children's art with bold lines, geometric shapes and bright colors.
