PRESENTATION OF THE GAME

- collective sport of Irish origin played outdoors.

- is played with a stick called a hurley used to hit a ball called a sliotar.

- hurling is played 15 against 15.

- to score, the ball (the sliotar) must pass between the posts:
- above the crossbar = 1 point
- below the crossbar = 3 points

- played on a field 130 to 145 meters long and 80 to 90 meters wide, the goals are at each end.

THE FIELD

- Sliotar : ball that measures about 7 cm in diameter, covered with leather, very solid like in baseball.
