INDEX.

Earrings? A watch? A bracelet? A necklace? I chose to design a ring because I could combine several shapes and personalise it.

WHAT SORT OF JEWELLERY?

* Suitable for men and women * Materials: metal, eg: silver, bronze... * Canary Islands identity - symbols * Geometric shapes - circles, triangles, hexagon?

1. A rectangle for the band - 1cm x 8cm

2. A regular octagon for the top. The eight sides represents each of the Canary Islands. 3. The design on the top is one of the Pintaderas. These were stamps made by the guanche people to make tattoos and to mark belongings.

I chose this design because it has 8 triangles to match the eight sides of the octagon.

The ring will be made of bronze. It has two main pieces: * the band (1cm x 8 cm) * the top (perimetre - 8cm) The symbol will be engraved into to top. In the centre circle there will be a ruby (0,25 cm radius)

TOTAL COST: 320 + 16 = 336 €

TOTAL RUBY = 0,2 CM2 0,2 · 80 = 16 €

TOTAL BRONZE = 12,8CM2 12.8 · 25 = 320 €

CONCLUSION

It have designed a piece of jewellery that can be worn by both men and women. It is made of bronze and ruby. The cost of making this ring would be 336 € but I would sell it for a lot more to make a profit. On the other hand, I don't think there would be many customers due to it being ugly. And Bob's you uncle!
