Sights/museums
-The National gallery museum's building takes up 46,621 square metres. It was opened 1880 and moved several times. It has a sculpture named Maman which means Mother on French, it is 9m tall
-The peace tower is 92 meters high. The Peace Tower is dedicated to the more than 65,000 Canadian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I.
-The national war memorial is a all, granite memorial arch with accreted bronze sculpture.designed by Vernon March and first dedicated by King George VI in 1939.
-The canadian space and aviation museum is located at the Ottawa/Rockcliffe Airport. It was established in 1964. It`s collection consists of more than 130 aircrafts.

About
over 11 days each May, it celebrates the seasonal flower`s beauty and it`s historic ties to Ottawa. This event takes place at Commissioners Park alongside the Rideau Canal`s picturesque Dows Lake where over 300,000 tulips will bloom.

The Ottawa Rough Riders were a Canadian Football League team that was founded in 1876 and would prove to be one of the oldest tenured sports franchises in North America.

Ice hockey began in Ottawa with the Stanley Cup in 1893.The original Ottawa Senators were one of the original members of the National Hockey League which was founded in 1917
Basketball
Previously, the Ottawa SkyHawks were a professional basketball team that played in the National Basketball League of Canada in 2013. They later folded in 2014.
Baseball
the Ottawa Lynx (1993–2007). The Lynx were once very popular, leading the league in attendance in its inaugural season. The Lynx won the Governors' Cup in 1995.
