This is a project about environment and recycling that aims to sensitize children from an early age to not harm the environment, to gain environmental awareness and sensitivity, to produce and consume consciously, to be sensitive to environmental problems and to have a sustainable and responsible environmental awareness towards nature. The project started in March and was designed and applied to children aged between 4-11 years old.With this project we aim to bring about a change of behaviour in our students with the hope of making the world a better place.

Introduction

- Project start at the end of February and end in May. - Project creation, application and approval process, determination of partners.- Meeting with the project partners, creating the project page, distribution of tasks and obtaining permission documents, pre-test logo and poster works.- Presenting activities related to environmental awareness and recycling using web 2.0 tools.- Creation of recycling bins in classrooms.- Organizing activities on what is not garbage.- Designing original products from recycling materials with family participation.At the end of the project, comparing the achievements by applying the post-test to re-measure the level of environmental awareness.

Work Process

- To promote the development of environmental awareness and sensitisation to nature conservation; - To allow students to learn through experimentation and involvement; - To challenge students to be environmental volunteers; - To promote awareness of the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling waste; - To promote critical thinking and argumentation skills; - Integration of recycling materials in learning environments.

Aims

- Individual and collective exploration of videos, interviews, documentaries and books to contextualise and reflect on the theme; - Participation in playful games; -Planning and construction of toys with recyclable waste; - Construction, with families, original products from recycling materials;- Reply to digital forms;-Celebration of Water Day; - Celebration of Tree Day with; - Separation and collection of waste in the classroom, with ecopoints; - Participation in training webinars and collaborative work with students from partner schools; - Collective writing of a poem and a slogan on the theme.

Pedagogical approaches

The project was a constant of communication and collaborative work. After the application was made and approved, several partners joined the project: Ana CEBAN from Moldova; Ana MARQUES from Portugal; Andreea CiOTÄU, Florentina VALENTINA RAT, Ileana SOLOMON, Iuliana SIMION and Loredana PROTEASA from Romania; Anna WAWERSKA from Poland; Aurélie El MALIH from France; Azize KOCAMAN (project founder), Derya ZENGIN, Nezihe NARCI OK (project co-founder), Senem DIKICI and Zeynep GÜRGÖL from Turkey and Greta GEORGIEVA from Bulgaria.
